In the Beginning (at least in the last quarter of 2005) Sister Atilla D’Nun, Sister Golden-hair Surprise and Sister Eve All, made the initial contacts to begin forming a mission of The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence in Palm Springs. Sister Gladass of the Joyous Reserectum and Sister Magically Delicious, from Los Angles, served as advisors offering advice, and helping to complete all of the tasks required to begin a new mission.

The initial formative meeting took place at Street Bar on November 26th 2005, but the first official meeting occurred at the Metropolitan Community Church of the Coachella Valley in Cathedral City on January 21st, 2006.  At this “First Meeting”, our mission’s name became “The Mission of Saint Priapus y San Tanko”. We elected the first board of officers, made the first cornets and made the first efforts at putting on makeup for the first “manifestation”. Many Sisters from Los Angeles assisted with the make up and made creative suggestions for new “Sister Names”. The Mission was formally recognized by the San Francisco Mother House on January 25th, 2006.

After struggling through some significant personal and membership challenges in the early months, the group reorganized as the Palm Springs Sisters, Inc. and began creating a solid missionary foundation and reaching out to the local community. Former Russian River Sister, Mary Margaret X-Plosion, and Captain of the Guard Boner from Los Angeles SPI moved to Palm Springs and began offering support and direction to the fledgling sisters.

Palm Springs also received much support from their San Francisco Sisters including Sister Anal Receptive (Cardinal Sin) who became especially close since moving to the desert.

The Palm Springs Mission received their Exequatur from the San Francisco Mother House on May 8th 2007 and became the Palm Springs Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence. Since the formative first year, The Palm Springs Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence have been a continuing presence in the Coachella Valley at various community events “Expiating Stigmatic Guilt and Promulgating Universal Joy,” all while collecting monies to provide grants to local charities and organizations. Over the course of our work, we have helped raise over $100,000.00 to local charities and programs.  Each year, The Sisters work to provide grants and funds to support our local community!

The Palm Springs Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence continue to provide support and charitable grants to support our local community and a variety of services providing assistance to both humans and animals in need. We will continue to do so with your help and support.

The Palm Springs Sisters wish to thank you for the all of the support you’ve given us during our Sistory.
